Goreng Pisang ( Fried bananas)

Cooking time :: 10 minutes.
Serves :: 4.
This is practically a national snack among the migrant populations in South East Asia who serve it with scoops of coconut or mango icecream. An exotic way to treat bananas.
Ingredients
- 4
bananas, peeled and cut into halves.
- oil for deep frying.
- For the batter -
- 4
tablespoons self-raising flour.
- 4
tablespoons rice flour.
- 1
tablespoon corn flour.
- 2 pinches salt.
- For sprinkling -
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
- To serve - coconut or mango ice-cream.
Preparation.
- Mix the self-raising flour, rice flour, corn flour, 1/2 cup of water and salt into a smooth paste.
- Dip the banana halves in the batter and deep fry in oil until golden in color.
- Roll in the brown sugar.
